Teacher prep time has been a bargaining issue in many rounds of local and provincial bargaining. This time is important for teachers as it is time within the work day we can use to plan and prepare for our classes and for individual student needs. Should you be asked to do other activities during this time, such as covering a class without a TTOC or attend IEP or School Based Team meetings, you need to be provided with alternate prep time. It is your contractual right (D.23.2 Hours of Work) to have this time each week.
